István György Tóth (1956-2005)

was a scholar of early modern society and culture of a wide international reputation. He was the Head of the Department of Early Modern History at the Institute of History of the HAS, and a founding member of the History Department of CEU.

The book launch will be followed by a public lecture by Jaroslav Miller on “Absolutism from Below? The Remarkable History of One Book“
