Julian Deahl is publishing manager and acquisitions editor for medieval studies with the Dutch academic publishing company of Brill. After studying in Britain, Germany and the former Czechoslovakia (his doctoral work was on medieval philosophy) he moved to the Netherlands, where he has spent the past 30 years working as an academic publisher across a range of areas in the humanities and social sciences. Currently his professional work focuses on medieval and military history.
